Match metallic shoes with a metallic outfit for a super slick look. Don't wear metallic's on any area of your body you are trying to hide – they will make it look bigger!

Watch out with the large loose knits around that they don't drown you, although the idea is for the to be oversize still consider the size of the knit. Wearing anything to big could completely over whelm you and you will get lost underneath.

The Skirt Suit is fantastic and sexy for anyone. With the designers play on tailoring and full skirts, if your body shape is more contoured this will work perfectly for you. For a shape that is more angular all over the pencil skirt and fitted jacket will be fantastic, and a belted style will help create curves. Skirts to the knee are always the most flattering.

The bright colours are extremely powerful, if you colouring is soft and muted you will get lost behind them and loose all impact, go for softer tones in this case.


Be aware of belted styles if you have a short body, or full stomach. Putting a horizontal line across your waist with widen and shorten it. In this case it's best to go for tailored cinched in styles that still go in at the waist to create shape but do not have a belt.

When choosing a winter coat always consider your height, a long full length coat on someone shorter than 5ft 8 could risk looking overwhelming and be shortening. Knee length is always a safe length and just covering the bum is a good length for someone under 5ft 4.
