Get Bikini Confident…Fast!

 
 


Uh, oh, it’s happening…the days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter and the temperature is definitely rising. Despite our best efforts to ignore it, it’s inevitable: bikini season is almost here! Does that strike terror in your heart? Not feeling so confident about squeezing your body back into a bikini? Don’t fret (you have enough to stress about as a working woman), this plan will get you looking fabulous and feeling confident about wearing your bikini fast!

First of all, put down that doughnut. Making smart food choices: eating more fruits, vegetables and whole grains and fewer processed, high-fat foods is the first step towards getting back into that tiny-weenie bikini. Strive to eat five small meals and snacks throughout the day (key word here: small, under 200 calories) to keep your metabolism humming. And be sure to eat slowly. By being conscious of your eating you’ll enjoy it more, and eat less. And speaking of eating less, don’t forget water! Drinking enough water (at least 2 litres a day) will help you eat less, burn fat and speed up your bikini wearing ability. It doesn’t have to be just plain water; any non-caloric, non-caffeinated beverage counts.


Here’s what will really make a difference: moving. The reality is you can eat healthy and drink water all day long but if you don’t exercise, you will never feel confident about wearing a bikini. Skinny and flabby never looks good. But trim and fit -- now you’re talking. To get the quickest results, cardio interval training is the way to go.

Interval training is one of the best ways to burn fat. It involves changing the intensity or level at which you are exercising for a short duration of your workout. For instance, during your 30-minute workout, try running (or walking) at your normal pace for three to five minutes, then run (or walk) at a faster pace for three to five minutes, and slow down to your normal pace again. If you’re working out on the step machine in the gym, step at a normal pace for three to five minutes, then take the resistance up for three to five minutes, and so on. Note: most treadmills, stair machines and other cardio equipment have “interval workout” as a program option. Choose it!

By working hard for short periods of time and allowing yourself time to recover, you can push yourself harder than if you tried working at a high intensity for an extended period of time. You will improve your overall fitness level and your body’s ability to burn fat which makes wearing a bikini that much easier.

Along with intense cardio workouts, strength training is key. Building and sculpting your muscles will give you that sexy toned look as well as help to speed up weight loss as muscle tissue burns more calories than fat at rest. So, the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. And the more calories your burn the better you’ll look in that bikini.

You’ve heard it all before: eat less and move more. It’s old news, but it’s true. By eating healthy food, drinking plenty of water and exercising regularly you will get your body in shape, look great and feel confident wearing a bikini in not time.

I need a new bikini, are there any shapes that are the more flattering than others?

Which bikini is most flattering all depends on your body shape. If you are below 5ft 5 then you probably dont want to make yourself look any shorter so go for a higher cut bikini or swim suit, the short type bottom with shorten your legs. The string bikini bottoms are also good for this. Also if you are worried about your thighs again avoid the short type bottoms with will make them look wider.
