Week 8 - Time is running out!

Time is running out!

If you squint your eyes just right you can see itlook, over thereits my time, running out. My race is in two weeks and two days. AAAKKK!!!

Oops, sorry, was that out loud? I actually feel somewhat prepared, somewhat. My running has definitely improved: today I ran 6 miles. Although I thought I was going to puke at about mile 4 but I pushed on until I reached the 6-mile mark at which point I was pretty confident I was going to puke. So, I stopped. (Side note: I never did throw up but my legs were pretty wobbly, I almost fell getting off the treadmill.) My riding has also improved. Now I tackle steep hills with gusto and am able to ride strong through the longest of rides on my bike.

But, I still havent completed the full biathlon distance and that makes me nervous. Today Amy and I were going to attempt to do just that but the weather didnt cooperate. Its one of those rare Colorado rains, one that just soaks you to the bone: cold and unrelenting. Amy and I have rescheduled and are going to attempt to run/ride the actual race course this weekend. So, hopefully the planets will align well get coverage for our kids and the weather will be nice and we will be able to get in at least one go round under our belts before the actual race. I feel like if I had some more time I would be in perfect shape and really prepared. Im experiencing a little college dj vu: I just need a few extra weeks...

At the end of the session I felt very empowered and ready to make changes to my life. The steps were broken down by Louise and so felt very achievable
