I really can't believe Christmas is here already!

I really can't believe Christmas is here already, this year has really flown by! I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone taking the time out of their busy day to read this every month. This year has really reinforced the importance of goal setting for me, I have just achieved mine for this year, a few weeks early as well! Goals give you a focus and a purpose, you might update them as they go along or scrap them and write new ones but having one really helps you to plan. After all how can you really work towards something if you are not totally clear on what you want?

Christmas is a perfect example, Christmas Day being the goal, you know what you want to happen by that day, what you want to eat, what you will be doing, who you want to give presents to, how you would like to feel etc etc So on the run up to it you have to plan the buying of presents, arranging what you are going to do on the day, who will be there, sending out cards, attending the various parties on the run up to it, doing the food shopping, decorating the house…the list goes one. The "Christmas Goal" is your focus on how you spend your time on the run up to it to make it happen. How often do you just sit back doing nothing on the run up to Christmas and then miss it all together?

We can set goals for all areas of our lives; vocation, relationships, health, family and social, money, spiritual, emotional and personal development. I really recommend setting at least a couple to cover the main areas in your life that you would like to approve upon. Then read your goals every morning so they become your focus and plan how you are going to achieve them. We get what we focus on so instead of focusing on what you don't have, or want, focus on what you'd LOVE. Every day do at least one action step that will move you towards you goal.

So this year instead of setting New Year's resolutions that come to nothing, assess your life and set some fantastic goals! 2008 is going to be a FANTASTIC year!!!!

Happy Christmas!!!

I was able to be completely open, but liked the fact that we went away from the office to talk.
