Money, Money, Money! |
||
| In the current economic climate even the people who usually feel comfortable with their finances are having to consider them a bit more. Money can be a huge force that holds people back in life. It can cause upset, stress, worry and illness which then spills over to effect other areas of our lives. Often its just are beliefs around money that are really holding us back.
If you have limiting beliefs around money such as You need money to make money, I dont have enough money to plan with and Finances are too complicated these will cut off any possibility you might have of creating money. You wont even try to find the money you need, it wont even enter into your mind to think how it could be achieved. Try this exercise: Think of something you really want. Think about why you dont have it and how you wish you could have it. Now think of something you really want and all of the possibilities you have in achieving it. Ask your self what is possible and how can I create the money to get it. Notice which one of those makes you feel better. Hopefully the second one will because it is designed to get you thinking creatively and to expand your conscious/unconscious around money. So the next time you catch your self saying I cant afford it ask yourself How can I find the money? instead. Often we link material possessions and money to our self worth. We might feel like if we buy something it will enrich our lives and make us a better person. We think people will respect us more, look up to us, fancy us what ever insecurities are going on in our minds about ourselves. When you remember that you are still a good person and you still have all your great qualities even with out any money this then breaks down the belief that having money is demonstration of self worth. We are still who we are whether we have money or not. To receive a life coaching session absolutely free and without obligation click here and Louise will be in touch with you shortly. Thinking Abundantly Abundance is a state of mind, rather than focusing on everything you dont have start to think about everything you do. Make a list of everything you do have, even little, your home, your friends, your loved ones, your clothes, the food in your cupboard etc. Human beings actually need very little but our society creates these strong desires in us to have an excess of everything. A good exercise to do is to sort through your cupboards and wardrobes. Take stock of everything you own, often we forget about all that we have and buy new things when we actually dont need them. Clothes are a huge example of this so if shopping is one of your downfalls, carry out a wardrobe weed, you might find clothes you forgot you had or new combinations to try out. When you start to feel like you really need something or hard done by without having much money think about everything you do have. Focus on the money you do have and the money you know you have coming in. Ask yourself how can you manage the money you do have most effectively? When you are thinking abundantly and realise you have everything you need, everything else becomes things you want and then you can start planning on how you are going to achieve that. Often, its the feeling of neediness and lack that makes us feel frustrated. Money Worry A good question to ask your self is is there anything wrong right this second? usually in the exact moment there are no problems. Problems are created from thinking too much about what has happened in the past and worrying about what could happen in the future. Worrying is not going to help, instead use that energy to ask yourself what can I do right now to help me in this situation or move me towards what I want? Again ask your self what can I do to create the money I want? If you are feeling out of control with your finances it might a good idea to start a money diary for a few weeks to see where you are spending your money and then from that creating budget might help you feel more in control. Or a visit to a financial advisor, as daunting as it might seem, will help give you a strategy and new perspective on your money situation. If there is something big that you really want for example a holiday or to book on to a course see if you can put down a deposit. Just by committing to something and knowing you will have to find the rest of the money somewhere will expand you consciousness and get you thinking proactively. When you know you have to find the money you will generally do all you can to get it. For example if you needed life saving treatment at hospital but the fees were way more than you had in the bank, you would find that money some how wouldnt you? A holiday might not be a life or death situation but in the same way if you know you have to pay the rest of the balance on something you really really want to do you will think of all sorts of ways to get it.
