Making Your Dreams a Reality

Open in new windowWe all have at least one thing that we would love to achieve, whether it’s a short term goal or long term life dream. So why is it often to hard to actually get off our backsides and make it happen? Following is a quick step guide to help you get out of a rut and start working towards what ever you want in your life.

Write down what you want

The process of actually putting pen to paper and writing what you want to achieve is the first step. This is because the process of writing covers all of our most important senses: we feel it through the process of writing plus feeling what it will be like to achieve whilst thinking about it, we hear it in our minds through our thoughts and we see it on the paper. Also, to write it down we have to be really clear about what we want too. Sometimes it’s the not knowing exactly what we want that stops us from doing anything.

Read the goal every day

Once you are clear on what you want read it and think about it every day. Think what is the one action step you can do each day that will bring you closer to your goal. In our minds we have something called a reticular activating system, this is why when we buy something like a new dress or car we then see the same one everywhere. Once our goal is in our consciousness we will then start to notice opportunities or gain ideas on how to make it happen.

Get emotional about it

Write a list of 10 reasons why you must achieve the goal and 10 consequences if you don’t. This will drive you to really want to achieve it!

Make a decision to take responsibility for your life

We often spend our time blaming others for not getting what we want or making justification why we haven’t done anything about it. “Not enough time”, “Not enough money”, “Too busy”, “Too tired” “Haven’t got the skills”, “Not experienced enough”, “He wont like me doing that”, “They wont approve”, “I wont get to see them”, “Once we have X then I will do X” – any of those sound familiar? Today make a decision to take control of your life and make your dream happen.

Create an affirmation

Affirmations are positive statements of what you want to believe about your self or have. By repeating them over and over again they form a new mind pattern or belief that we are already what we want. It is totally possible to change the way we think, our minds are malleable and can be taught to think how we want them to. Create an affirmation telling yourself who you are being to achieve your dream or that you have the dream. For example “I am a successful XX, I create it easily”, “I accept myself”, “I am healthy and full of energy”, “I have a new X it comes to me easily”, “Money comes to me”, “I attract money”, “I am moving to X, the process happens smoothly” etc

Feedback

I found my colour analysis to be very useful for choosing clothes that suit my coloring. I would recommend this service to anyone interested in finding out which colour's suit them best.

The Muscles: An Overview

The muscles of your legs are integral to most daily activities: walking, running, bending…really, any kind of full-body movement. However, despite their hard work, our legs are often the recipient of much hatred and disgust.

Sure with the right kind of camouflage you may feel secure enough to walk around without fear of reprisal, but how likely are you to bare these parts freely and with confidence? Do you really like the way your legs look? Most of us don’t. According to a recent Fitness Magazine survey only 28% of respondents said they love their legs.
