Oh yes, the next target to aim for (obviously this is meant metaphorically as I would definitely miss any real target with a crossbow or bow and arrow because of my visual problem, but hey I would have a lot of fun trying). 4 miles seemed a reasonable target to reach, after all I had already accomplished 3 and half miles and all I had to do was a teeny weeny little bit more. I told Michael not to mention the amount of miles we had run; I didn't want to focus on anything but the running. Any distraction like being aware of the mileage might have affected me mentally, encouraged me to slow down.
